Clint based in china town, CBD Melbourne, gave us a call regarding to emergency breakdown of commercial kitchen exhaust fan on 22/01/2021 Friday late afternoon.
We have organize technician as soon as possible to find out the fault, upon inspection technician found out that motor was over current and seized .Due to late service call we are unable to find correct size fan for kitchen exhaust system, and more important thing was client had so many booking throughout long weekend as it’s a Australia day public holiday on 26 January, 2021.
The biggest concern was how to get new motor on Sunday, Monday or even Tuesday as the entire supplier was close for long holiday. In this situation we were thinking how we can help the client to run the kitchen to manage all those booking he made, As to use commercial kitchen you must need kitchen exhaust fan working so it will keep removing smoke and maintain fresh air level in the kitchen for staff and patron too.
We came back to factory and try to find used kitchen exhaust fan so we can install it and they can work until we get new commercial kitchen exhaust fan, unfortunately we cannot find same size but we have found one size smaller fan, so we made transition to fit small fan in to big duct .technician took an hour and half to finish, and as soon we made transition we head toward to the job site to install temporary fan.
We reach to the job site and remove old fan and put that in to the van to take it with us to find out fault to make report for insurance company, and we fix transition and small fan.
The kitchen is in working condition with little bit of less suction, but client was so happy as we manage to save his all booking for restaurant , we have charge him very nominal price for our fan renting scheme so we can have enough time to buy new one .
We have managed everything in right manner so everybody is happy.
